New therapy targets shame to save teens from suicide
NCT ID NCT07294001
Summary
This study is testing a new type of talk therapy designed to reduce feelings of shame in teenagers who are hospitalized for being at high risk of suicide. About 42 teens will receive either this new shame-focused therapy or standard supportive counseling to see if the new approach is practical and acceptable, and if it might help lower suicide risk. The goal is to gather information to plan a larger future study.
