Ancient drumming rituals tested as modern pain relief
NCT ID NCT06579261
Summary
This study is exploring whether sessions with a shamanic practitioner using drumming music can help reduce pain and other symptoms for people with fibromyalgia. Researchers will work with 25 female participants over 8 weeks, measuring pain levels, heart rate, breathing, and brain activity before and after the sessions. The main goal is to see if this approach is practical to study and if it provides any symptom relief, not to cure the condition.
