New cocktail aims to tackle tough liver cancer
NCT ID NCT07392866
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new combination of drugs (SH006 plus chemotherapy) against the standard drug regorafenib in 120 people with advanced liver cancer that has not responded to immunotherapy. The goal is to see if the new combo can slow cancer growth or improve survival. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
SH006 (a drug similar to bevacizumab) combined with oxaliplatin, capecitabine, and bevacizumab
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced liver cancer who have already tried immunotherapy.
What could go wrong
This is an early-to-mid stage trial with only 120 participants. The new combination may not be more effective than the existing drug regorafenib, and side effects could be significant.
