NCT ID NCT06430684

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This early-stage study looks at whether it's possible to run a larger trial of a drug called empagliflozin (a diabetes medicine) in 40 children with chronic kidney disease. The drug is given daily for 3 months to see if it improves blood pressure, urine markers, and heart function. The main goal is to test if families will join and finish the study, not yet to prove the drug works.
