First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding an SGLT2 inhibitor (a diabetes drug) to standard cancer treatment can help people with both advanced lung cancer and type 2 diabetes live longer or slow their cancer's growth. About 200 adults will take either the SGLT2 inhibitor pill or other diabetes medicines alongside their cancer therapy. Researchers will track survival, tumor progression, and heart-related side effects.
