Summary
This study looked at whether a medication called empagliflozin, normally used for diabetes, could help people with prediabetes. The goal was to see if it could slow down or prevent the development of diabetes and reduce risks for heart and kidney problems. The study included 60 veterans aged 35 to 60 with prediabetes and lasted 12 weeks.
