Summary
This study tested whether a diabetes medication called empagliflozin could help prevent or delay diabetes in people with prediabetes. Researchers enrolled 60 veterans aged 35-60 with prediabetes and gave them the drug for 12 weeks. The main goals were to see if people would join and stay in the study, and to measure changes in blood sugar and kidney function.
