Diabetes drugs may help a fatty liver
NCT ID NCT07269197
Summary
This study looked at whether a common type of diabetes medication, called SGLT2 inhibitors, can improve liver health in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers measured liver stiffness and fat using special ultrasounds and blood tests in 67 patients before and after 6 months of taking the drug. The goal was to see if these medications help control fatty liver disease, which is common in people with diabetes.
