Partners share insights on new sexual trauma therapy

NCT ID NCT07568717

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study explores how partners of women who have experienced sexual trauma feel about a new group therapy called 'Take Your Sexuality Back.' The therapy helps women heal their sexuality in a safe, trauma-sensitive way, and includes partners in two sessions. Researchers will interview partners to learn what works and what could be improved, with the goal of making the therapy better for future use.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Take your sexuality back (group therapy intervention)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help refine a group therapy that helps women heal their sexuality after trauma, and show how partners can best support recovery.

What could go wrong

This is a very small feasibility study with only 12 participants, focused on partner experiences rather than direct treatment outcomes. The intervention may need major changes before larger trials.
