Pregnancy sex talk: counseling may boost mood and marital harmony

Summary
This study tests whether sexual counseling based on the extended PLISSIT model helps pregnant women improve sexual function, reduce depression and anxiety, and strengthen their relationship. About 70 pregnant women between 16-20 weeks will receive either counseling or standard care. The goal is to address a topic often considered taboo and improve quality of life during and after pregnancy.
