First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a new, organized way of routing stroke patients to hospitals can help more people with severe strokes get a life-saving clot-removal procedure. About 4,900 adults in Alabama with suspected severe stroke will be included. The approach uses a central communications center to direct ambulances to advanced stroke centers, similar to how trauma care is coordinated.
