Doctors test Wire-Guided knife to slice inside the heart

NCT ID NCT06269640

Summary

This study tested a new, minimally invasive procedure called SESAME for people with a dangerously thickened heart wall. Doctors used a special electrified wire, guided through blood vessels, to slice away excess tissue blocking blood flow from the heart. The goal was to see if this procedure was safe and technically possible for patients with severe symptoms who were at high risk for standard surgery.
