New hope for deadly septic shock: trial tests alternative treatment

NCT ID NCT06746753

Summary

This study compares two treatments for septic shock, a life-threatening condition with high mortality. Researchers will test whether giving Angiotensin II works better than the standard treatment (norepinephrine) at stabilizing patients. The trial will also look for better ways to predict how severe a patient's septic shock will become. Results could help doctors choose more effective treatments and improve survival.
