First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at how the OXIRIS membrane, a special filter used in kidney replacement therapy, affects blood clotting and immune cells in ICU patients with septic shock. Researchers will measure markers of platelet activation and immune response before and after treatment. The goal is to better understand the body's response during severe infection, not to test a cure.
