Can a finger clip predict survival in deadly shock?

NCT ID NCT07330908

Summary

This study aimed to see if a simple finger clip monitor (Peripheral Perfusion Index) could accurately measure blood flow to tissues in patients with septic shock, a life-threatening condition. Researchers tested this at different doses of a standard blood pressure medication (norepinephrine). The goal was to gather knowledge to help doctors better monitor and manage these critically ill patients.
