This study tested a program called STAR that helps people who survived sepsis recover better after leaving the hospital. About 3,900 adults with sepsis took part across eight hospitals. The program used a nurse to guide care for up to 90 days, focusing on physical and mental recovery, medication checks, and preventing return trips to the hospital.
