This study looks at whether small particles released by dying cells, called PyroEVs, and a protein called PLIN3 are linked to how severe sepsis is and how well patients recover. Researchers will measure these in the blood of 180 people with sepsis and compare them to healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if these markers can help predict 28-day survival and organ failure.
