Race against time: new study tests when to add second drug for deadly sepsis

Summary
This large study aims to find the best timing for adding a second blood pressure drug (vasopressin) to standard treatment (norepinephrine) for patients with life-threatening septic shock in intensive care. It will compare starting vasopressin early versus only adding it later if the first drug isn't working well enough. The goal is to see which approach helps more patients survive and avoid kidney failure within 28 days.
