New test could predict which sepsis patients are most at risk
NCT ID NCT05694455
Summary
This study aimed to find better ways to predict how sepsis patients will fare. Researchers tested a new handheld microscope to measure tiny blood vessels and a blood marker related to blood vessel lining in 68 adults with sepsis. The goal was to see if these measurements could better predict patient outcomes like kidney failure or death compared to standard blood pressure readings.
