New study tests simple water measurement to guide sepsis care
NCT ID NCT06512129
First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a device that measures water outside cells can help doctors better understand fluid balance in adults with sepsis who have unstable blood pressure. Twenty participants in intensive care will receive standard treatment plus this extra measurement. The goal is to see if this information helps describe their condition, not to test a new treatment.
