Summary
This study will test two new risk scores that predict a patient's chance of developing sepsis or experiencing a serious decline (like cardiac arrest or unplanned ICU transfer) within the next four hours. Researchers will see if giving these scores to hospital staff leads to faster checks of vital signs. The study involves up to 150,000 adult patients across multiple hospitals in the University of Maryland Medical System.
