First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study will test two new risk scores designed to predict if a hospital patient is likely to develop sepsis or experience a sudden decline (like cardiac arrest) within the next four hours. The goal is to see if giving doctors and nurses these scores helps them check on patients sooner. The study will involve about 150,000 adult patients across multiple hospitals in the University of Maryland Medical System.
