Could plasma infusions save sepsis patients by healing their blood vessels?

NCT ID NCT07160426

Summary

This study is testing whether giving plasma (the liquid part of blood) can help protect and repair the lining of blood vessels in people with sepsis, a life-threatening infection response. Researchers will compare plasma given in different ways against a placebo fluid in 45 adults with sepsis. They'll measure blood vessel damage markers and track whether patients need less organ support, spend fewer days in the hospital, and have better survival rates.
