Scientists probe deadly blood clots in ICU sepsis patients

NCT ID NCT06440317

Summary

This study aims to understand how harmful blood clots form in the smallest blood vessels of patients with severe sepsis (septic shock) who need kidney dialysis. Researchers will compare two different types of dialysis filters to see if one affects the levels of substances linked to these clots. The goal is to gather knowledge about the disease process, not to test a new treatment.
