Summary
This study tested a technique called sentinel lymph node mapping in women with breast cancer that appeared in multiple spots (multifocal). Researchers wanted to see if this mapping method could accurately identify the first lymph nodes where cancer might spread, to help guide surgery. During their breast cancer operation, participants had this mapping done followed by standard lymph node removal, so doctors could compare the results.
