Autism study links sensory issues to tight ankle muscles in kids

NCT ID NCT07159113

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study looks at whether how children with autism process sensory information is connected to tightness in their ankle muscles, which can cause toe-walking. Researchers will observe 27 children aged 4-10, measure ankle flexibility, and have parents fill out a sensory questionnaire. The goal is to better understand these relationships, not to test a treatment.
