First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 12-week course of semaglutide injections works better than a calorie-restricted diet for people with type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease. About 100 adults aged 18-75 with a BMI of 25 or higher will be enrolled. Researchers will track changes in blood sugar, weight, inflammation, and liver fat to see which approach is more effective.
