First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether semaglutide, a drug used for diabetes and obesity, can help people recover better after a stroke. Researchers will give weekly injections for 12 weeks to 100 stroke patients who had a clot-removal procedure. The goal is to see if the drug can limit brain damage and improve outcomes, and to gather information needed for a larger future study.
