Weekly shot tested to tame blood sugar in High-Risk dialysis patients

NCT ID NCT06042153

Summary

This study is testing if a weekly injection of the medication semaglutide can help control blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes who are receiving dialysis for kidney failure. Researchers will compare the injection to a placebo (dummy medicine) in about 43 participants over a year. Participants will wear a sensor to track their blood sugar levels at several points during the study to see if the treatment is effective and safe for this high-risk group.
