New hope for aggressive brain cancer: drug combo shows promise in early trial

Summary
This study tests a new drug (selinexor) added to standard chemotherapy (temozolomide) for people with a type of brain cancer called glioblastoma that has returned after initial treatment. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and works better than chemotherapy alone at shrinking or stabilizing the tumor. About 97 adults with a specific genetic marker (MGMT-methylated) are being enrolled.
