NCT ID NCT06593483
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether having heavy drinkers create a short video talking to their future self about why they want to drink less can help them reduce alcohol use. 120 heavy drinkers were split into three groups: some got no help, some got a standard counseling session, and some got the counseling plus made a personal video. The video was sent back to them 21 days later to boost motivation. Researchers wanted to see if the video group would drink less over 6 weeks compared to the others.
