Summary

This study tested whether having heavy drinkers record a short video explaining their reasons for cutting back helps them drink less. 120 adults who were heavy drinkers took part. Some received standard counseling, some made a video, and some just answered questions. The video was sent back to them three weeks later to boost motivation. Researchers measured changes in drinking and motivation over six weeks.
