Talking about yourself to beat booze: new therapy tested

Summary

This study tests whether a special type of therapy that focuses on a person's self-concept and memories can help people with alcohol use disorder reduce their drinking. Sixty adults will be randomly assigned to either receive four therapy sessions plus standard care, or standard care alone. Researchers will track drinking habits, cravings, and recovery feelings over six months to see if the therapy makes a difference.
