Summary

This study tested a program called 'My DEER Compassion' that teaches self-compassion skills to children with ADHD. 96 children in Hong Kong, along with their parents, took part in sessions to learn how to be kinder to themselves. The goal was to see if this could improve their emotional well-being and life satisfaction. Results are being analyzed to see if this approach helps.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a simple, non-drug way to help children with ADHD feel better about themselves and manage their emotions.
