Could a simple At-Home swab revolutionize cervical cancer screening?

NCT ID NCT04423679

Summary

This study tested whether a new type of HPV test, which can be done on a sample a woman collects herself at home, can accurately identify which women need to see a doctor for further checks. It enrolled 294 women aged 30-69 who were already scheduled for cervical screening. The goal is to make screening more accessible by reducing the need for a clinic visit for initial testing.
