Can a common pill stop seizures before they start in brain cancer patients?

NCT ID NCT07130786

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called levetiracetam (Keppra) can prevent seizures in patients who have brain tumors in a specific, high-risk brain area called the primary motor cortex. The trial will enroll 150 adult patients who have not yet had a seizure. Participants will be randomly assigned to either take the preventive medication or receive the current standard care, which does not include preventive anti-seizure drugs.
