Brain implant aims to forecast seizures before they strike
NCT ID NCT07012148
Summary
This study is testing if a small device implanted just under the scalp can safely predict when a seizure is about to happen in people with epilepsy that doesn't respond well to medication. The goal is to use these forecasts to help manage the condition and improve quality of life. Researchers will monitor 12 participants for a year to see if the system works and is safe.
