Faster Wake-Up from coma? new sedation method tested for critically ill

NCT ID NCT04710914

Summary

This study aimed to see if a sedation gas (isoflurane) could help patients with severe septic shock wake up and come off a breathing machine faster than a standard sedation drug (midazolam). It focused on patients in intensive care who needed to be sedated for several days. The goal was to reduce complications linked to long-term sedation and ventilation.
