Calmer recovery for fracture patients: new sedation mix tested
NCT ID NCT01544725
Summary
This study tested whether adding propofol to ketamine sedation reduces agitation when patients wake up after emergency procedures for fractures or dislocations. Researchers compared the two-drug combination against ketamine alone in 150 adults. They measured recovery agitation, side effects like breathing problems, and how satisfied patients and doctors were with the sedation.
