Calming the nerves: testing sedation options for cataract surgery

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to keep patients comfortable and calm during cataract surgery. It will compare using just numbing eye drops to using eye drops plus one or two calming medications given through an IV. Researchers will measure patient satisfaction, comfort levels, and safety in 120 adults having routine cataract surgery.
