First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a special brain monitor (4-channel EEG) can help doctors give just the right amount of sedation during a procedure called ERCP, which examines the bile and pancreatic ducts. 84 adults having elective ERCP took part. The goal was to see if using the monitor leads to using less sedative medicine, faster recovery, and steadier vital signs compared to standard care.
