First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study is testing a new surgical stapler (Signia circular stapler) in about 137 people having elective left-sided colon, sigmoid, or rectal surgery. The main goal is to see how often a serious complication called anastomotic leak (a leak where the bowel is reconnected) happens. Researchers want to confirm the device is safe and works well in real-world use.
