Summary
This study tested two medicines, methylergonovine and carboprost, to see which works better for heavy bleeding after a cesarean delivery caused by the uterus not contracting properly. 100 women who had bleeding despite standard treatment were randomly assigned to one of the two drugs. Doctors measured how well the uterus tightened up to determine which medicine was more effective.
