First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 30, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is better than fluoride varnish at reducing cavity-causing bacteria in children aged 3-8 with tooth decay. Each child gets SDF on one side of the mouth and fluoride varnish on the other, and bacteria levels are checked over 3 months. The goal is to see which treatment works best to control decay.
