First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested a new rehabilitation approach for people with spinal cord injury. Ten participants received a combination of spinal cord stimulation (a device that sends electrical pulses to the spine) and a robotic exoskeleton (a wearable robot that helps with walking). The goal was to improve leg muscle strength and overall mobility. While not a cure, this combined therapy aims to help patients regain some movement and independence.
