AI spots liver trouble during routine heart scans

NCT ID NCT07216859

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether artificial intelligence (AI) can detect early signs of a common liver disease (MASLD) or cirrhosis by analyzing routine heart ultrasound images. Researchers will enroll 2,000 adults whose heart scans are flagged by the AI as high-risk for liver problems. The goal is to see if AI-guided alerts help doctors diagnose and treat liver disease faster than standard care.
