Doctors track how spine surgery changes a Patient's walk

NCT ID NCT03434184

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a major spinal surgery affects walking in young patients with severe scoliosis. Researchers observed 6 patients under 18 years old, comparing their walking ability before surgery and again 6 months after. The goal was to gather information to help doctors decide when this type of extensive surgery is the right choice for patients who can still walk.
