Game-Changing gym class: sports program lifts spirits of rural kids
NCT ID NCT07452302
Summary
This study tested whether a special 12-week school sports program could improve mental health and physical fitness in rural children whose parents have moved away for work. Forty children were randomly assigned to either the new program, which mixed cooperative games with soccer and basketball, or their usual gym class. Researchers measured mental health and fitness before and after to see if the structured play made a difference.
