First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 37 times
Summary
This study tested whether having a dietitian teach nutrition in school can improve what kids know and how they eat. 67 fourth-graders in Türkiye were split into two groups: one got eight weeks of nutrition classes (plus parent lessons), the other did not. Researchers measured changes in nutrition knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors, as well as weight and waist size. The goal was to see if this approach could help shape healthier habits in young children.
