Two-Step school program aims to lift teens out of depression
NCT ID NCT07399314
Summary
This study tested a school-based program to help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety in teenagers. It involved 600 adolescents in Pakistan and used a two-step approach: first, a classroom life-skills program for all students, followed by a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) app for those who needed extra support. The goal was to find an effective way to provide mental health care in schools using trained non-specialists and digital tools.
