Scientists map the Brain's hallucination highway

NCT ID NCT05343598

Summary

This study aims to understand the brain circuits involved in hallucinations experienced by people with schizophrenia. Researchers will use a non-invasive magnetic stimulation technique (TMS) and brain scans (MRI) on 68 participants to measure how specific brain connections change. The goal is to gather knowledge about how hallucinations work, which could inform future treatments, but this study itself is not testing a treatment.
